Youth Pastor - Part-Time
(Middle School/High School)
Journey is looking for a part-time Youth Pastor to shepherd our middle and high school youth. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of a four-year ministry-related degree (or working on it) and experience leading and directing a youth ministry in a casual church targeting the unchurched. Duties include teaching and shepherding youth, recruiting, training and encouraging volunteers, evaluating and selecting curriculum (as needed), developing rapport with parents, and developing processes and procedures to facilitate the smooth operation of the ministry and to ensure the safety and security of our youth.
Estimated time is ten to twenty hours per week, with a guarantee of ten. The pay is good and the benefits are AWESOME! (You'll be part of a church that is making a difference in hundreds of people's lives, and you'll have the opportunity to be a part of something amazing that God is doing in our community!) You'll have a new Macbook Pro to use and a budget to manage. We already have lots of kids and volunteers; we're just waiting for the right person to lead!
The Youth Pastor reports to the Lead Pastor and will have the opportunity to learn and grow into other responsibilities beyond youth ministry. As the church continues to grow, this can become a full-time position with benefits (health insurance, retirement, etc.). We believe in paying well to attract and retain the best people. Qualified candidates should submit a resume detailing your experience with youth ministry (paid and volunteer), any other ministry experience, education and work
experience, and references to Lead Pastor Jim Clayton. |
