Imagine a church where lives are being changed and people who formerly wanted nothing to do with church are now excited about coming to church on Sundays. That's exactly what is happening at Journey. Over 300 people showed up for our grand opening on September 27, 2009, and immediately we had hundreds of people attending on a regular basis! (The comments you see throughout our site our actual comments from guests.)
Journey
is a casual, comfortable, laid back place to explore your faith and learn
about God, located in Franklin, Indiana. You'll be welcomed by friendly people, and you won't be put on the spot or called on.
You'll hear great music and teaching that is relevant
and applicable to your life. (When we sing, some people
sing along and some just like to listen and enjoy...it's
your choice.) We
explain words and concepts that might not be familiar, and we don't preach at you. Come early and visit the Journey Cafe, where you'll find free coffee from Benjamin's Coffeehouse and free donuts from the Old Fashioned Donut and Bakery Shop. Church begins at 11:00 and lasts about an hour.
We have a nursery for children from newborn to two, Jr. KidZone for kids from three to five, and KidZone for kids from Kindergarten through fifth grade. Of
course, your children are always welcome to remain with you
the entire time, if you prefer. We also have a Youth Ministry for kids from sixth grade through high school that meets every other Sunday night.

Although many of us are young
families with young children, we range in age from 18
to 70+, single, married, divorced, and widowed, blue-collar,
white-collar, and no-collar :). We come from many backgrounds,
including Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran, Evangelical Free,
Christian Church, Community Church, Pentecostal, and no church background
at all. (Journey Church is interdenominational. For information

The majority
of our people were not actively involved with
a church prior to getting connected with Journey. Many are
getting to know God and the Bible for the first time, while
others are further along on their journey. In addition to Franklin, we have people coming from Greenwood, Whiteland, New Whiteland, Edinburgh, Trafalgar, and even Indianapolis.
"I have only been to church a few times in my life and was always put off b/c I felt I was being talked at instead of talked to and didn't really understand the message. My children have really never attended a service. We were nervous because we thought we wouldn't be comfortable since we have never been "church" people. Every single one of us enjoyed, understood and thought the whole experience was positive. Thank You!"
