Sundays at 11 am at Franklin Community Middle School
"I have been trying to get my husband to attend church for a while...You
got my husband to go to church and he's ready to come back next week." (Her husband was later baptized at Journey.)
Imagine a church where lives are being changed and people who formerly wanted nothing to do with church are now excited about coming to church on Sundays. That's exactly what is happening at Journey. Over 300 people showed up for our grand opening on September 27, 2009, and immediately we had hundreds of people attending on a regular basis! (The comments you see throughout our site are actual comments from guests.)
What is Journey like? Journey is a casual, comfortable, laid back place to explore your faith and learn about God. You'll be welcomed by friendly people, and you won't be put on the spot or called on. You'll hear great music and teaching that is relevant and applicable to your life. We explain words and concepts that might not be familiar, and we don't preach at you. Come early and visit the Journey Cafe for FREE coffee and donuts. Church begins at 11:00 am and lasts about an hour. A typical worship service might look like this:
Welcome @ 11:00 am
Music (We encourage people to sing, but you don't have to)
Message (Something practical and relevant to your life)
Giving back to God - (This is for regular attenders of Journey; not guests)
Closing Thoughts from the Pastor (around noon)
What do you have for kids? We have a nursery for children from newborn to two, Jr. KidZone for kids from three to five, and KidZone for kids from Kindergarten through fifth grade. Of course, your children are always welcome to remain with you the entire time.
We also have a Youth Ministry for kids from 6th grade through high school.
Who goes to Journey? We welcome people no matter where they are on their spirutual journey and no matter what is going on in their lives. Therefore, we have people of all ages and from a variety of backgrounds. The majority of our people were not actively involved with a church prior to getting connected with Journey. Many are getting to know God and the Bible for the first time, while others are further along on their journey. People come to Journey from all around central Indiana.
"I have only been to church a few times in my life and was always put off b/c I felt I was being talked at instead of talked to and didn't really understand the message. My children have really never attended a service. We were nervous because we thought we wouldn't be comfortable since we have never been "church" people. Every single one of us enjoyed, understood and thought the whole experience was positive. Thank You!"

Message from
Jim Clayton,
Lead Pastor:
“I grew up going to church and it made no difference in my life, so I walked away at the age of eighteen. After staying away from church for thirteen years, I discovered that it's possible to go to church and actually get something out of it...and enjoy it too! It makes a huge difference when you enjoy going to church...just ask the hundreds of people who consider Journey their church home.
If you're thinking about going to church, or going back to church, you'rve found the right place, because we started Journey Church for you! Why? Because you matter to God and you matter
to us.”
Our mission is to help people connect with God one step at a time.
Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we invite you to
come see why adults AND kids love coming to Journey!
